Research and planning

 It was really hard for me to pick pictures, videos, and songs for my commercial. The truth is that I’m lucky. I’ve had lots of different experiences in my life and most of them are well documented in photos. But that made it really hard to choose.

 The first picture I chose is from the Royal Air Tattoo in England in 2017. The Royal Air Tattoo is like the Air and Sea Show that is in Fort Lauderdale every year, but there are planes from all over the world instead of just from the US. In the picture are 5 WWII planes that were most likely from Britain. I chose this picture because I had a lot of fun that day seeing planes from around the world.

 The second picture I chose is a picture of the Blue Angels flying over my house. This is picture is important to me because it was on my birthday in 2020. The third picture I chose is of my brother and I at the Wright-Patterson Air Force Base in Dayton, Ohio. We went there in 2021. The plane behind us is the XB-70 Valkyrie. It was a prototype of a supersonic nuclear bomber. It’s the only one that remains. The fourth picture is of my brother and I at NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory in California this July. The last picture I chose is of my brother and I last month at the Air and Space Museum in Washington, D.C.

 For videos, I chose one from the Air Tattoo, showing planes flying overhead during the air show. And a second from the Air and Sea Show here in Fort Lauderdale. I enjoy going to air shows because its cool to watch the planes fly fast overhead. For a song, I chose “Danger Zone” because Top Gun is one of my favorite movies.

I asked my friend Conner to review by movie. I wasn't really sure what he would think, but I was excited to get his reaction. He is in my class, so we could watch it together. The first time we watched it, he laughed when my parents found out I was invisible. He thought it was funny that my dad was looking for me in the dishwasher. He also laughed when I stole my dad's breakfast.  When we got to the part where I put chocolate sauce on my brother's bagel, he asked why my hand was in the shot. I explained that I had thought about that before we shot the footage. I decided that since the movie was shot from my perspective and I didn't know that I was invisible, I would have been able to see my hand. As a result, I thought it was okay to include that shot. My Pitch

Pitch A:   A boy is watching a scary movie with his brother when he hears the doorbell ring. Pitch B:   A boy wakes up one morning and realizes his family members can’t see him. In Pitch A, a boy and his brother are home alone watching a scary movie. They are worried they may have made the wrong choice of movie. Suddenly they hear knocking at their door. They pause the movie and listen. They hear more knocking and unusual sounds outside. Finally, they work up the courage to answer the door… and it’s the pizza delivery man. In Pitch B, a boy wakes up one morning and heads to the kitchen as usual. But when he gets there and says hello to his mother, she can hear him, but she can’t see him. He is literally right in front of her, and she cannot see him. Once he realizes what’s happening, he decides to go for mischief. A funny morning of pranks follows. Re-Editing Blog

After I looked over the movie at the end of my last blog, I found some things that I wanted to change. One of these things was the title screen showing the actor's names. It looked like the picture included in this blog, but I wanted the names to be center aligned. After I changed it in the PowerPoint I made my title screens on, I used the Snipping Tool to cut out the slide and save it as a PNG file. I then uploaded the picture to CapCut, and placed the original. After this, I edited it to be in the movie for the same length of time as my other title screens.  Another thing I had to change was the Music By title screen since I didn't have anything on it. I didn't have anything on it because I wasn't sure my movie needed music, however I knew it was a requirement. So I needed to find a song and get that edited in to the movie.
