Commercial Reflection

When I was working on my commercial I had to learn how to use capcut. I already knew how to put pictures and videos into capcut but I didn't know how to add transitions or sounds. In order to know how to do these thing I found a YouTube video explaining how to use capcut. I also learned that I can adjust the amount of time each video or picture is in the commercial for. When I put my voiceovers into the commercial I had to adjust the picture lengths to fit the voiceovers in the time that the picture was up. Because the song I wanted to use wasn't in capcut's song selection I decided to find the song on YouTube and screen record it. I then put the part of the song that I want to use in the video by selecting video sounds from my camera roll. After I put the song into the commercial I learned how to edit it so that the noise would fade in and out. I learned a lot about the process of putting a video together. The YouTube video I watched explained how to use capcut very well.

Today I put the videos in to my commercial. I couldn't find a video from the air and sea show. Because of this, I used 2 videos from the R.I.A.T. instead. I reworked the script to have one of the videos be first in the commercial. I'm going to use the sound that is in the videos because it is the sound of the planes flying past. I put some transitions between the videos and pictures. I'm having trouble figuring out how to put the song Danger Zone by Kenny Loggins into my commercial. I'm going to see if any of my classmates know how to do this. If they don't know how to do it then I will choose a different song. I still need to do some of my voiceovers for the commercial as well. After that I will review my commercial and see what needs to be changed. Then I will check to see if the volume in the voiceovers, videos and song are good. I will also check my transitions to see whether I need to add more or change some. I will also check my animations for these same thing

Today I learned how to use capcut. I found a youtube video explaining how it works. I then used capcut to start making my commercial. The first thing I did on capcut was press the New project button. The second thing I did was name the project All About Me Commercial. Then I put the pictures and videos I chose into the project. After I put the pictures and videos into capcut, I put them into the order I chose previously. I put them in order by tapping on each picture in the order I wanted them in. Since I wanted to transition from one picture to the next, I found some transitions to put for each picture. There were 9 transitions that showed up as results from me looking up transitions in the effects tab. I decided on 5 different transitions so that each picture would have one. I had planned on to use some animation with some of the pictures but I decided to not do this. Then I started looking over my script that I made a few days ago to see what I would say for each picture. After look

When I was making my script for the commercial, I made a list of what picture or video goes where and what sound or dialogue I was going to use for that picture or video. For the 2 videos I am going to use in the commercial I'm just going to use their sounds. One of the pictures I am using will have a song playing when in shows up in the commercial. For all of the pictures, I am going to say something when they are on the screen.  When the picture of the planes at the Royal International Air Tattoo (R.I.A.T.) comes on the screen I'm going to say "In 2017 I went to England. When I was there I saw the R.I.A.T. which is essentialy an air and sea show but British. This is a picture of 5 WWII British planes flying overhead at the R.I.A.T." After this picture I will put the video of planes flying overhead at the R.I.A.T. which will have its own sounds. When the picture of the Blue Angels are flying over my house I am going to say "In 2020, the Blue Angles flew over my

Today I spent time deciding what order to put the pictures and videos into for my commercial. I put them in the order of when they happened. The first picture I want to use is from 2017 when we went to the Air Tattoo. I think it would be cool if when this image appears, it is zoomed in on the biggest plane and then zooms out slowly to show all five planes. From here, I will transition to a video from the Air Tattoo. I'm planning to use a video that shows planes flying over. I think it will be cool if the viewer can hear how loud they are. After the video, I will put up a picture of the Blue Angels flying over my house. It would be cool if I could use the song Danger Zone here. I will also use an animation to make the picture move. Next will be a video from the Fort Lauderdale Air and Sea Show. I chose a video with two of the Blue Angels flying by. I will use the natural sound with the video.  Next, is a picture from the Wright-Patterson Air Force Base in Dayton, Ohio. I will add an

It was really hard for me to pick pictures, videos, and songs for my commercial. The truth is that I’m lucky. I’ve had lots of different experiences in my life and most of them are well documented in photos. But that made it really hard to choose.   The first picture I chose is from the Royal Air Tattoo in England in 2017. The Royal Air Tattoo is like the Air and Sea Show that is in Fort Lauderdale every year, but there are planes from all over the world instead of just from the US. In the picture are 5 WWII planes that were most likely from Britain. I chose this picture because I had a lot of fun that day seeing planes from around the world.   The second picture I chose is a picture of the Blue Angels flying over my house. This is picture is important to me because it was on my birthday in 2020. The third picture I chose is of my brother and I at the Wright-Patterson Air Force Base in Dayton, Ohio. We went there in 2021. The plane behind us is the XB-70 Valkyrie. It was a prototy

My name is Ryan. I'm 15 years old and I am a sophomore in high school. My favorite things to do are listen to music, play basketball, and read. I also like to play video games. My favorite video games are Jedi: Fallen Order, Marvel's Spider-Man (spiderman ps4), The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild/Tears of the Kingdom, and Minecraft. I enjoy watching movies/tv shows with my family. A few of my favorites are Marvel and Star Wars. I like sleeping late but unfortunately I get up at 6:30 every day for school.     I'm very interested in learning about space. It's so cool to think that there might be life on other planets. I think it would be really neat to go to space one day. I have been to the Air and Space Museum in Washington, D.C. several times. I like looking at the different types of spacecraft and planes in the museum. It's really cool to see how the designs and mechanics have changed over time. In July I went to NASA's Jet Propultion Laboratory. When
