Group Blog: Final Task

This is the third project that we've done this year. The first one we had to do by ourselves. The second and third ones we had a choice to work in a group. I really wanted to do the music video with a group, but when it was time to find your group, no one asked if I would join their group. I asked a few people, but they already had a group and it didn't include me. I was pretty disappointed because I thought it would be fun to do that project with a group. But I also knew it would be hard to agree on everything and coordinate schedules, so I convinced myself that was best. And I had fun filming my own video and doing the editing, so it worked out well.

For this project I wanted to be part of a group, but this time, most people were working in their same group from last time, so there wasn't a group for me. I'm disappointed, but I realize that there are some advantages. One of these advantages is I can work on the project when I want to not when other people want me to. Another advantage is that I don't have to worry about if other people have done their part yet or not. A third advantage is I can make the story myself.

So, I've accepted that I am going to do the final task independently. The good news is that I’ll be able to choose the genre and make all of the decisions on my own. I won't be stuck doing what someone else wants. Also, I can work on it when it works for me. And if I want to, I could do the project over winter break and get it done. Another benefit is that I can choose whether I want to do it at home or somewhere else. These are the reasons why I am working by myself.
