Production Blog: Planning it All Out
Counting Stars by OneRepublic
This week, I've been working hard to plan out all of the details for the scenes I'm going to shoot at the park. I'm hoping that if I plan well, I can do them all in just one trip to the park. My original plan was to go last weekend, but Saturday I had a chemistry lab. As a result I was too busy with homework to make it to the park. Instead I'm going to go this weekend.
My plan is to first film scenes 4 and 8. These scenes are both near a tree with lots of vines hanging down. I'm planning to do two takes for each scene. That way if there are any problems when I go to edit I'll have options. Right next to the tree with vines is the tree house, so I'll go there next. I'll film scenes 5, 7 and 11 there. Again, I will do two takes for each scene. Then I will find an area that has a path I can walk down. Here I will film scenes 6 and 9 here. Like the others, I'm planning to do two takes. If its crowded or I can't shoot the scene without getting people in it, I might have to shoot them in a different order, but I don't think that will be a problem.
I'm planning to wear a plain blue tshirt with a pair of black or gray shorts for the outside scenes. When I get back from filming at the park, I may reshoot the scenes in my backyard. Then I'll get to work starting to edit everything together. I hope to have it done by the end of next week so I can tweak things as needed.
